One of the most incredible things about flying is that you get to see some of the world’s most amazing view from airplane. Especially in Florida there are hundreds of serene spots all around you. Florida has the best weather throughout the whole year which makes flying so much fun and as a result you get to see some breathtaking views.
1.Key West trip
Any student trained to become a pilot in Florida must take this trip from any airport in Florida to Key West. It is one of the best trips you can have in your career. Whichever part you come from, in Florida you can land at either Miami executive airport or Home base Airport to re-fuel if needed and get ready to catch some of the amazing view from your cockpit.
Once the land ends with southern glades you will be above the sea waters and will see only part connecting is US highway 1. You will be flying over Key Largo, Plantation Key and marathon to finally reach Key West. Not only flying is the best part to Key West but this beautiful city offers tons of water sports with stunning beaches as well.
2.South Beach, Miami
South beach is one of the top destinations for visitors. This beach is flooded with thousands of tourists from around the world all year around. From the beach you can experience the beautiful views as the nice breeze hits your face. But only the lucky few have got chance to fly over South Beach. Above the water you can even fly low as 100ft and may be do a 360 degree turn just to show off your skills to the tourists. It’s the thrill that can only be felt rather than explaining it through words. This is a must for any pilot who visits Florida.
3.John Travolta’s Ocala Home
If you have watched movies such as Face off, Sword fish or Pulp Fiction you will be a big fan of John Travolta acting just like me. But after I flew over his house in Ocala, Florida with 7500ft private runway and the beautiful design of his home, I just couldn’t resist admiring his talent in taste of house design as well. He is a well known pilot and have 5 aircrafts includes B707 and Learjet. You get to fly over his entire property but unless you are in an emergency you cannot land on his private airport.
South Florida is also known for its pristine white sandy beaches, crystal blue water, exhilarating night life and amazing shopping, yet there is still so much more to see. One of the most unique ecosystems in the world is right at your doorstep in Sunny South Florida is the Florida Everglades!
The natural untouched beauty of the Florida Everglades will mesmerize you and what better way to see all that nature has to offer than from an incredible bird’s eye view. Commonly you will see birds, alligators, manatees, dolphins, deer and sharks as you fly over the area’s lakes, bays, rivers and saw grass prairies and even Calusa Indian Shell Mounds.
Even though you are restricted to fly over some of the theme parks such as Disney, you can still get a great view from your cockpit from allowed distance. Florida is a theme park heaven with more than 15 theme parks and water parks across.
Flying from one to another theme park you will catch breathtaking sceneries of beautiful Florida. You can always land the plane at the airport close to the theme park and spend a day in one of the many world famous theme parks.
